'Inside Out in Liverpool' Drawing Workshop

Office for Subversive Architecture, commission, 2006

A Foundation is a not-for-profit charity, registered with the Charities Commission, Charity Number: 1098692

A Foundation exists to support the development, production and exhibition of contemporary art, with an especial interest in Liverpool and the North West.

A Foundation is a national organisation, based at Rochelle School in Shoreditch and Greenland St in Liverpool. Our "third space" exists online as A Database- the pioneering open-source research engine and digital archive for artists, contemporary art and culture.

We rely on a variety of funding sources for these activities. This support enables A Foundation to share its work with thousands of visitors from across the country each year, helping the widest possible audience understand and enjoy modern and contemporary art.

There are many ways to give to A Foundation, with many benefits and privileges available to you in thanks for your generosity. As we build a bigger and better organisation, and our activities and ambitions grow, your support is more important than ever.

We thank our sponsors and donors for their loyalty and enthusiasm, and look forward to working with you as we build for the future.

Dear Friends

Please accept my warmest thanks for your generosity to A Foundation in 2006/07.

With the opening of Greenland St gallery in Liverpool last year and the imminent opening of our new group show in October 2007, the scale of our ambitions continues to grow. At this historic point, it is a particular pleasure to acknowledge the many friends who made gifts to our programmes, exhibitions and special projects.

Your support is absolutely crucial to our ability to realise these ambitions and to present a wide range of outstanding exhibitions and education programs.

Together, you are all responsible for A Foundation’s many accomplishments. We cannot thank you enough for your steadfast encouragement, enthusiasm, and support.

I look forward to seeing you, in London or Liverpool, very soon.

With best wishes,

Anthony Bennett, Director of Development
